Client Challenge

Dr. Elliot Davis holds four patents (one more is pending) for a revolutionary treatment that utilizes aligners to provide teeth with a more natural bite, healthier gums, nicer smile, and reduced sleep and tinnitus issues. His steady innovations have combined 15 years of successful research to yield a unique treatment that can wonderfully change your life. When an unintentional similarity to another brand’s name emerged, Dr. Davis decided to change the name of his treatment to better articulate the results it achieves. Having successfully worked with Cyentist in the past, Dr. Davis reached out for a Cyentist Pregame Call to discuss coming up with a new name and logo design ahead of his looming deadline.

Cyentist solution

Dr. Davis engaged Cyentist for the naming of Tinnisense and the design of its logo and icon. The project commenced with a brand consulting interview to outline the unique aspects of the treatment and capture all associated benefits. We then conducted industry research, ideation of candidate names and combinations including one, two, and three-word names. The names were ranked and filtered by meaning, brevity, association, and other criteria. As much as we love it, we do not take credit for directly suggesting Tinnisense in our presentation. This name actually came to Dr. Davis as a result of viewing a similar name we presented on our shortlist. A team effort! Upon finalizing the name and registering the domain name, tinnisense.com, we began our logo design process as an intensive project. The final design was selected from the three concepts we presented with only one small revision, which we were able to implement quickly. The design was delivered in Tinnisense Blue with black, white, and gradient variations. A Tinnisense Aligner Care version was also created to cap the project. We were pleased to deliver the final name and logo result ahead of Dr. Davis’s deadline.
